The reverse side depicts a Red Kangaroo, which has adorned the reverse of silver Kangaroo bullion coins since 2016.

The marsupial is seen hopping through a blank horizon, as it is encapsulated by shapes that signify sun-rays.

The coins rim's encapsulation displays the coins, title, the Perth Mint, "P" mark as an added security feature, the year of issue, and the denomination, purity, and metal type.

As a testament to the Australian Mint's innovation, an enhanced security feature has been included. A micro-engraved phrase that is only visible under magnification.

The obverse depicts Jody Clark's modern rendition of Queen Elizabeth II over a blank, matte coin field.

The effigy is encapsulated by the Queen's title, the nation of issue, and the 100 Australian dollar denominational value.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as the British Royal Mint’s 3rd branch in Australia. The historical Hay Street location handled gold refining until moving to a modern facility in April 1990. Ownership of the mint was transferred to the Government of Western Australia in July of 1970.
