Following the release of King Richard Lionheart of England, at the hands of King Leopold V of Austria for a king's ransom of silver, the legend of Robin Hood was born.The legend of Robin Hood has reverberated through the centuries as an enduring tale of a brave and generous outlaw, famously known for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Robin Hood is known to have utilized his exceptional wit, and skills in archery and swordsmanship to always gain the upper hand in his adventures. The legendary hero is the feature of this 1 oz 999 fine silver coin by the Austrian Mint.

Illustrated on the reverse side is Robin Hood, who has been expertly etched and engraved in outstanding detail. The hero is seen demonstrating his proficiency with the bow as he aims two arrows at once.
