This collectible, highly liquid series incorporates all the beasts commissioned to be displayed at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on June 2, 1953. The White Greyhound of Richmond was emblematic of King Edmund Tudor, the first Earl of Richmond, the unity of the red rose of Lancaster's house, and the house's White Rose of York, following the war of the roses. Displayed on the reverse side is the White Greyhound of Richmond, indicative of the Honour of Richmond. The regal and elegant canine is seen in a salient attitude. It supports a shield containing both the livery red and green with the White Rose of the house of York into the Tudor rose, signifying the unity of both houses into one unified entity; the House of Tudor. The combined roses are adorned by the royal crown, with the image laid over an intricately textured pattern within the coins field. The image is encapsulated by the Beast's title, weight, purity, and year of issue.

The obverse contains the contemporary effigy of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, over a guilloche patterned coin field, with the Queen's title and the denominational value as encapsulation.
