In 1982 The Royal Canadian Mint was tasked with continuing the immense success of the 1 oz Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin, which captured the stunning beauty of the land and its rich diversity all in one. The result was the 1/10 oz Canadian Maple Leaf. Since its initial conception, the highly sought-after bullion series has gone on to sell over 25 million troy ounces.

Illustrated on the reverse side is the quintessential emblem of Canada, a magnificent maple leaf with stunning attention to detail. A mint privy-mark, containing a micro-engraved Maple leaf with the year of issue, is also included.

The image is laid over a field of dazzling, light refracting, micro-engraved radial lines and is joined by the mint-mark, "Canada" legend and details of the metal purity, weight, and content.

On the obverse is the contemporary Effigy of her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, in her exact likeness.

A field of radial lines is utilized once again to enhance the image, while the Queen's title, the denominational value, and year of issue are also included.
