The loon is viewed sitting on a rippling lake with a densely wooded lake shore opposite.

Prominently featured in the upper left hand quadrant is a coloured Team Canada logo immortalizing and celebrating the athletes and accomplishments of Team Canada's Olympic team at the Olympic and Paralympic games in Sochi, 2014. Above and below are the words "Canada 2014 Dollar" and the artist's initials.
